Walking
Group
Exercise
makes us feel great. No matter how old or unfit you are,
you can always start walking. One of the main benefits
that I see from walking as a group is that you feel less
inhibited at talking about issues that might concern you.
You can focus on the countryside and the feel of your
muscles, rather than having to maintain eye contact with
your therapist or coach.
The Help for Cancer walking group
is a place where you can walk, enjoy a pub meal, bring
your dogs, chat to people just like you, have a coaching
session or simply enjoy being outdoors in the fresh air.
There are many walks in The Cotswolds and we start gently
with a short 3 mile walk - aiming at a circular pub route
:-) From there we can build up to longer walks and, if
any members feel competitive we can work towards a charity
event
Yeah ok - I look pretty silly but I love that hat!

Walk
& talk coaching
Not everyone wants to do telephone coaching, or sit facing their
coach. A fantastic way to reap the benefits of coaching is to
join me for a walk. Here we can discuss your issues, whilst
getting fit and enjoying the scenery and fresh air. You will
naturally feel more relaxed and find it easier to broach difficult
subjects. I consider walking to be a form of meditation, so
you will find that you will gain greater clarity and focus as
well as feeling better at the end of the session. Well behaved
dogs welcome!
On average we will walk for 1 - 2 hours |
